Its wildflower season again! Tom Dorman is a good spot to find them. Usually you can start finding the early ones out in March and they usually peak in April before the leaves come out on the trees.
Tom Dorman is a good 2.5 mile hike any time of year. Do the hike in the normal clockwise fashion to hit the steepest section on the way down to the river, or do it counter-clockwise to boost your workout by hitting all those steps going up hill. I always combine this hike with either the Sally Brown trail or a subset of the trails at Dupree. All three have similar wildflowers at the same time.
