Shaker Village West Trailhead is near the end of the West Lot Rd. Trails can be accessed from the stables, or any of the West Lot parking lots.
Users of Shaker Village Trails must sign a waiver. Horseback riders must also pay at least a day use fee. See the Trail Brochure for more information.
The West Trailhead and trails may be closed during the week during hunting season.
Safety: Consider bringing drinking water, sunscreen, bug repellent, and sunglasses. Always wear a properly fitting cycling helmet when cycling.

Trail Descriptions
West Lot: Follows the gravel road, then along grass trails to an overlook of a prairie area.
Chinquapin: Starts at the West Lot Wash House and loops through woods above Shawnee Run Creek, then back around through prairie area
Shawnee Run: Traverses woodland and open prairie to views of the Fulling Mill site, a scenic overlook of Shawnee Run Creek and a picnic area. There are 4 creek crossings on this trail.
Chinn-Poe: Accessed from Shawnee Run Trail and drops down to Shawnee Run Creek through a limestone glade. Passes abandoned calcite mines.
