Hickman Creek Nature Center is a 121 acre Jessamine County owned nature and conference center with two loop trails. It sits in the Hickman Creek valley with a view of a palisade on Hickman Creek.
Safety: Consider bringing drinking water, sunscreen, bug repellent, and sunglasses.

Trail Descriptions
Woodland Trail: A mostly wooded trail that has a fairly steep section along Hickman Creek, then follows a rocky road bed the rest of the way. Can start the trail either at the barn on the drive in, or at the conference center to the left of the garage. The trail may not have signs or be maintained. It has blazes through most of the wooded area.
Meadow Trail: A mostly grass trail with a couple forays into wooded areas and creek with a small elevation change. The trail starts to the left of the garage on the conference center and may not have signs nor be maintained.

From Nicholasville, take US 27 south. Turn left onto KY 1268 for about 3 miles and look for the sign after crossing Hickman Creek. Gate may be closed. Park on the side of the gravel road and walk around the fence.
